July 13, 2020

PwC has significantly increased its already large SAP investments and has adapted its business-experience-technology (BXT) approach to help SAP accounts move toward S/4HANA.

PwC has been named as a Leader in the IDC MarketScape: Worldwide SAP Next-Generation Implementation Services 2020 Vendor Assessment (June 2020, IDC #US46141520). This evaluation is based on a comprehensive framework and set of parameters expected to be most conducive to success in providing SAP next-generation implementation services in both the short term and the long term.

According to the report, “Based on IDC's Global SAP Implementation Services Buyer Perception Survey feedback from 102 of the evaluated vendors' customers, the most critical business priority for them was to "reduce cost/improve profitability and/or cash flow," while the most critical vendor attribute for successful SAP implementation services was being "able to achieve desired business outcomes."

The IDC MarketScape report notes, “As a management consulting firm, PwC combines expertise in understanding customer business process and industry needs with its expertise in the SAP implementation space to help transform clients' businesses. PwC's SAP strategy is centered on creating integrated offerings from strategy through execution and by providing industry-focused, business-led, and technology-enabled capabilities. It has significantly increased its already large SAP investments and has adapted its business-experience-technology (BXT) approach to help SAP accounts move toward S/4HANA. To maximize the insight and impact PwC wants to deliver for its clients, PwC offers SAP solutions to a set of target industries, including industrial products, energy, retail and consumer, high tech, power and utilities, and health services.”

Commenting on PwC’s strengths, the report states that “Buyers rate PwC highly for communicating the value of its services/solutions and delivery methodologies/tools that clients are consuming and for its ability to provide customer service, particularly onsite. IDC values PwC's delivery strategy related to delivery processes and the company's channel alliance strategy.”

Rodney Seligmann, Global SAP Alliance Leader, PwC said: “We are delighted to be recognised as a leader in this IDC MarketScape. PwC is proud to help our clients solve their most important problems, drive operational excellence and achieve their digital ambitions with the power of SAP solutions.  We are one of SAP's premier partners and, together, we have co-created a number of leading solutions that achieve greater outcomes for our clients."
